We LOVE the Olympic National Park!
Hands down one of the best family spots in the Olympic National Park. Since you can drive to the top, you get all the benefits of being among the peaks of the mountains without the need for packing gear.
The visitor center at Hurricane Ridge is just a 40 minute drive with the last 20 minutes being absolutely stunning.
Plan a day trip, picnic, hike the trails, talk to the rangers. Whatever you do...don't forget your camera! The view is amazing! This is truly one of the most accessible gems of the Olympic National Park.
Lake Crescent has a fascinating blue-green color depending on the daylight. There are several pull offs as you drive the edge of it, but we definitely recommend stopping for awhile to take in the scenery.
Spruce Railroad Trail. Whether you walk, bike run or wander the trail, it is definitely a "must do" on our list of adventures. Be sure to read the history of the trail before you go. And if it's hot, there are some great jump in spots to cool off!
Marymere Falls: The trail is reasonably navigated to this beautiful spot just off of Lake Crescent. The best part....a trip out to the Lake can include many activities in one day without having to choose.
